Paul Gonzalez one of my mentors and business partners; when he was my boss he told me, Chris, make 300 phone calls, you will find 25 people who are interested, and you will sell 5 every day Irrelevant of talent or skill Because what I lacked in experience I made up in numbers for what I lacked in skill.
My first week I dialed around 1,000 numbers and pitched my product around 125 times before I made my first sale, however, the more my experience grew the more sales I made.
Today, I can make sell 8 out of 10 prospects because of physics.
Now when it comes to money a thing many people say is “It sounds too good to be true”.
The reason mine and your parents might have taught you stuff like “It sounds too good to be true” is because of their lack of knowledge.
When we don’t understand something, people become fearful and in the case of making money they start telling us stuff like “it sound to good to be true” however, In the bible at……….. it says: Make sure of all things. So a rich person or let’s say a person who thinks like a rich person will go do the research to make sure if it is too good to be true or if it really is a good and sound investment.
Everyone else just says: Ah, sounds too good to be true and leaves it at that.
Take for instance W. Clement Stone who during the Great Depression which began in 1929 made 122 sales per day earning him a million dollars a year.
Now, no matter how bad you have thought the economy has been the past several years it is nothing compared to the Great Depression.
The rich became broke overnight, people were jumping out of skyscrapers and eating out of trash cans.
However, W.Clement Stone stumbled upon what we call as the mathematical formula to writing your own check.
